Selecting a Product Series

WHG Series: Grinding machines, milling machines, lathes, drilling machines, machining centers, EDM machines, boring machines, wire cut EDM machines, precision measuring instruments, woodworking machines, material handling equipment, and conveying systems.

WEG Series: Industrial automation machinery, semiconductor equipment, laser engraving machines, packaging machinery.

Selection of Accuracy Grade

The CHPSPUP grade depends on the equipment’s accuracy requirements.

Select based on experience

Load Conditions

When used in conjunction with a ball screw, select a linear guide specification similar to the screw’s outer diameter. For example, if the screw’s outer diameter is 32 mm, select a specification similar to HG35.

Calculate the maximum load of the slider

Calculate the maximum equivalent load of a single slider by referring to the load calculation example

Verify that the static safety factor of the selected linear guide exceeds the value listed in the static safety factor table

Select the preload

Select based on rigidity requirements and mounting surface accuracy

Verify rigidity

Calculate deflection by referring to the rigidity table

Increase preload, select larger dimensions, or use more sliders to improve rigidity

Calculate service life

Calculate the required service life distance based on operating speed and frequency

Calculate the service life distance of the selected linear guide using the service life formula

Lubrication Selection

Select a lubricant; depending on equipment requirements, choose grease, lubricating oil, or special lubricants. Lubrication can be performed by periodically injecting grease or using an automatic oil supply system
